Gold

The interpretation of the belt color, which follows, is but one of many possible meanings.

The gold belt signifies the ore that must be dug from the ground. Once the ore has been polished it shines as a ray of sunlight. A gold belt student is also a beginner, but one who has been given his or her first ray of knowledge, beginning to step away from the darkness into the light of learning.
