Red I

The interpretation of the belt colors, which follows, is but one of many possible meanings.

The red 1 belt also signifies the intense heat from the sun that continues to burn inside the student who pushes forward toward the goal of becoming a BLACK belt. Continue to master self-developed techniques. The intense heat will continue to glow as if the student were to tread across a pit full of hot coals. The student is making the final steps across the "Fire Walk" continuing to reach for the goal at hand. The red 1 belt also signifies higher rank; it has a BLACK stripe running along the center of the belt, and the wearer should be in a position to receive the approval from his or her instructors to become as one of them, a teacher of the Martial Way. The red 1 belt is also a sign for the opponent to be careful of the wearer. Continue to exhibit flawless self-control, and show mastery of "all" previous techniques, another step closer to the BLACK belt.
